Roy Orbison is one of America’s pop music icons and was at the height of his fame in the 1960s charting more than twenty songs in the Billboard’s top forty. These include such classics as In Dreams, Only the Lonely and Roy Orbison’s signature song and pop music standard Oh, Pretty Woman. After his career hit something of a lull through the 1970s, a number of covers and uses of his songs in feature films through the ‘80s saw a resurgence in his popularity as he joined the supergroup The Travelling Willburys. The collective released their debut studio album in 1988, just months before Roy Orbison’s sudden death in December of that year.
