About Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs
Domingo Samudio is a rock and roll singer perhaps better known as his stage name Sam the Sham; and then perhaps even more so for his eccentric mannerisms and style exhibited in such practises as driving his equipment around in a hearse complete with velvet curtains. As the lead singer with the Paroahs, Sam the Sham appeared on a string of 1960s Billboard top forty singles including the hugely popular Wooly Bully, which reached number two in the US resisting the force of the British Invasion of the time.
