About DJ Otzi
Single-handedly responsible for the anthem to many a stag or hen night, booze-ups abroad and Friday nights across Europe, DJ Otzi has proved that that it is possible to have a song catchier than the Crazy Frog without the necessity of being incredibly irritating. We are, of course, talking about his cover of Bruce Channel’s 1962 hit Hey Baby. But we’d be mistaken for painting him as a one-hit wonder. Both under his real name, Gerhard Friedle, and his pseudonym DJ Otzi, he has been responsible for no less than eleven albums between 2000 and 2008, all of which have enjoyed chart success in Europe. “Ooh! Ah!”
