About Soul Asylum
Soul Asylum first formed in 1983 but it would be nine years later that they would finally achieve their mainstream breakthrough. Their 1992 album Grave Dancers Union achieved double-platinum status and spawned the Grammy Award-winning hit song Runaway Train. Soul Asylum continue to perform and record new material, persisting in memory of bassist Karl Mueller who died of cancer in 2005.
