About Frank Sinatra
Synonymous with the swing era in the 1940s, the Frank Sinatra name remains on the tip of the music aficionado’s tongue in any discussion of cool. Initially signed to Capitol Records, Sinatra had a string of albums received with critical acclaim including Come Fly With Me, Songs for Swingin’ Lovers and Only The Lonely. Proving that no label could keep “Ol’ Blue Eyes”, Sinatra moved on from Capitol to form his own label and really came into his own forming The Rat Pack and indulging in the playboy lifestyle he will always remain famous for. Even in his fifties, Frank Sinatra still had what it takes to score hit records with My Way and Strangers In The Night. But this wasn’t enough for Frank to hang up his microphone as he continued to record albums, landed yet another hit with the theme from New York, New York and continued to tour almost right up to his death in 2008.
