Am I able to hear myself through headphones or speakers whilst I record?

Unfortunately we have had to take that particular functionality out of the player because the vast majority of computer sound cards just can't convert the analogue signal from your mic to a digital signal quick enough, and what you get is your voice coming back to you out of time with the track. There are only a handful of sound cards which can do this quickly enough and the cheapest of those is around £400! More than the cost of many laptops!

If you try changing your setting you might already have it intsalled on your pc. Click Contol Panel, Sounds, Click the Recordings tab, highlight your current mic that you are using, then click properties. Click the listen tab, then check the listen to this device. Apply and OK it. that should work if your pc has the correct soundcard.

Please correct me if I am wrong - If the mic is connected to a simple external USB audio interface, we will probably be able to hear ourselves while recording.
