Vista tries to protect you by putting files for the Plug In in a hidden file system. When you export an mp3 it asks if you would like to open the folder - select yes and you will see your file. |

Instructions for finding exported recordings that seem to be lost in Vista: Vista has very stringent security settings and if you are using IE8 on Vista, it insists on only letting you save your recordings to a hidden folder deep in the bowels of the operating system. We will be releasing a patch to solve this but, in the meantime the easiest solution is to switch to Firefox as your web browser (it's free from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html). If you would rather not do this then here are the instructions for finding your recordings: You can find your recordings on your PC, but it is quite hard to find on Vista with IE8 as you have to navigate to a hidden folder. Several users have asked about this so we are thinking about how to fix this in a future release of the player. First you need to have hidden folders visible in Microsoft Explorer. To do this you open your user folder and then select the menu item Organize -> Folder an Search Options In the Popup box select View, and then there is an option to Show Hiden Files and Folders. Close the Popup Box. You go to your folder with recordings then go to AppData -> Local->Microsoft->Windows->Temporary Internet Files You then have to type in by hand \Virtualized onto the end of the top bar which shows where you are. After this you can see the next folders to select C-> Users-> (you user name) -> AppData->Roaming->Puresolo->Library->Recordings You can see any of your recordings here. You can copy them to your normal user directory. Vista has also made CD burning very difficult for us because the security settings have been increased. Once you have copied your recordings you can use the following instructions from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Burn-a-CD-or-DVD |

Hi Manda, welcome to the site. Sorry you're having problems finding your recordings, Vista and Windows 7 make it very tricky! Would you consider using Firefox as your web browser? It's free to download, takes a couple of minutes and is considered by many to be one of the best browsers around. It will also solve the problems you're having. You can download it at http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ If you'd prefer to stick with IE7, please have a read of the solution we've posted above, which should solve your problem. If not, let us know and we will continue to help. PureSolo Team |

Exported MP3 recordings in Internet Explorer will be fixed in the new plugin and will appear correctly in the Documents folder. We are almost ready to launch this version. It's going through the final testing phase as I write this. |

The latest recorder version should now address this issue and you should see the recordings. |
